How to sequence chord type externally? - jlaurasonis - 09-01-2022 I am using an Octatrack to sequence MIDI Chord changes on the NDLR. Is there a way to sequence chord type externally without using the internal chord sequencer? RE: How to sequence chord type externally? - Jesse Johannesen - 09-03-2022 Yeah, totally. CC 26 is chord degree, and CC 27 is chord type, so you can set the Octa up to send those on a MIDI track and it should work. We recently upgraded the timing for monitoring CC chatter, so chord changes are much smoother than they used to be. If you have any issues with timing, be sure to check that you're using the newest FW. RE: How to sequence chord type externally? - leverkusen - 05-09-2024 I tried this and it seems that external sequencing of chord types with CC 27 only "prepares" the new type (showing it in a blue fond on the screen) for the next chord change, so combining CC 27 with CC26 or a Midi note does not lead to the wanted chord result. Is this so? And is there a way to directly control the chord degree and type at the same time from an external Midi sequencer? |
