Something Strange with the pattern editor
#1
Hello Everybody and Happy New Year

I have a problem with the pattern editor

I want to make some "Berlin School" (Tangerine Dream , Klaus Schulze) style patterns

So in the pattern editor I have done this

Chord Mode

3 steps

1st step has value 1
2nd step has value 3
3rd step has value 4

so when i push I button I get C2 G2 C3 which is fine

when I push II button I get D2 A2 D3 which is fine

but when I push III button I get B1 G2 B2 in stead of E2 B2 E3

and other buttons give also strange results

Is ther something I'm missing ??

My goal is to have what could be called for a guitar player "power chords" (root , fifth , root octave+1)

Is it something possible or not ??

Thank You for reading

Have A nice Day

OK I have found what I am doing wrong , I have changed the settings so that Chord Inversion is disabled and it is now working as I expected.

But this does not explain why in Chord Inversion Mode when I push the III button I get B2 G2 B3 which is in no way an E power chord.

And by the way it would be great to have an audio (midi) feedback when editing the pattern notes values so that by ear we can choose what note to put in the pattern

I have not yet installed the new firmware because since I live in France ,I do not want to take risk of breaking my NDLR

Than You for reading

Have a nice day
