All good ideas!
I don't think anyone has ever asked for a longer quantize period, but it probably wouldn't be hard to do.
Regarding "adjust the length of notes", we have added a Gate control for the motifs. It's in testing and we should have a beta on the forum soon (before end of Nov 2024). It required quite a large refactoring of the code, and will only be available for The NDLR revision 2. Other amazing features are also in the works.
The idea of linking 2 different notes is interesting. We've actually discussed it several times as we'd also really like to have it too, but it's tricky to set up. I guess we'd delay the note off from the first note, until sometime after the note on from the 2nd note? We were looking for a way to simulate a TB-303 slide for synths that don't have glissando. Somehow, most of my mono synths are missing that feature. Unfortunately, MIDI doesn't provide an easy solution to the problem.
For better or worse, and for various reasons (certain people's opinions), we elected to use velocity for accenting notes, which many musicians utilize rather than shuffle. So we include many ways to get accents by velocity, such as the humanize setting, rhythm velocity, and accent patterns. It's great, but some of my favorite mono synths don't have velocity support, like the Dreadbox Erebus (v1). So we'd like to have it, but the way the code is written, with all of the parts keeping time together, it would be quite a bit of work to add shuffle. I'll add it to the list to be investigated, but it's a long list.
