user definable CC
#1
Hi - I already RTFM multiple times and searched the Forum ... but was unable to find out, what the 'user  definable  CC' - current manual page  53 - CC1 and CC2 are, what they are for, how they work. When are they transmitted? To what value does the min to max interval refer?
thx

Check out the previous page, 52, for the answer. The lower right-hand graphic has two blue knobs represented as CC1 and CC2. Page 53 describes how you define the action of the blue knobs.

They are for: your convenience.
They work: when you twist encoder 4 and 8 in the "MIDI Part" window for each part
They are transmitted: when you twist the encoders
Min/Max refer to: the minimum and maximum values transmitted by twisting the encoders, they act as data limiters

Basically, CC1 and CC2 add two user definable knobs - per part - to the NDLR to control whatever aspect of your external synths that you want. Like, two free knobs. Kinda cool, eh?

Great answer Kris, you hit the nail on the head. This feature is intended to be useful as a way to manually control MIDI CC parameters on a downstream device.
